Originally from New York city, Baz discovered FSOR via his 10 year old drum playing son. Within a year he was a tutor. He earned the title ‘Dean of Rock’ in 2010 for his event management, marketing, logistics and operations. In addition to his FSOR duties, Baz runs Felix’s Rock Choir, tutors privately on guitar and bass, and performs with a host of singers, musicians and bands in the London area.

Alyson joined FSOR in 2006, after her 2 sons were early participants, she is responsible for all things financial from keeping the books to buying the biscuits. She works with the Board of Trustees and is the Company Secretary. The only staff member with no discernible musical talent she is nonetheless a founder member of Felix’s Rock Choir.

Originally from Manchester, Boltz has been a session guitarist and played with lots of names including The Who, Paul Young and David Bowie. He continues to perform with bands and solo. Boltz discovered FSOR through one of his private students and been hooked for the past 8 years.

Jevon has been playing bass guitar professionally and has toured, recorded & played on radio and television shows with high profile chart topping artists including Moloko, Barbara Dixon and John Paul Jones and The God of Hell-Fire, Arthur Brown. Matthew Douglas is an accomplished guitarist, bassist and vocalist who has both written and
performed with various artists in South London. Whether solo, or with other performer, he
produces a high standard of work, along with a jovial energy. He has spent the last 3 years
working as a peripatetic guitar teacher in as selection of schools in the South East London area, as
well as doing private lessons with students of varying ages.

Alex is a guitarist, specialising in anything funky, and performs with different party bands across the country. He teaches guitar, ukulele, piano and drums in London schools at primary and secondary level, as well as seeing private students of all ages. He leads creative music workshops, having trained with Spitalfields Music. Alex plays in function bands, jazz big bands, and is the bandleader and guitarist of funk rock quintet, Crouton Cannon.

Kit Keenlyside is a lifelong musician and RGT@LCM registered guitar tutor. He has wide ranging
experience of teaching music to young people of all abilities, both in schools and privately.
Having stepped on stage for the first time as an FSOR student, he has gone on to make
appearances at the O2 Academy Islington and Glastonbury Festival.
Jason Hood

Jason is the second longest serving FSOR tutor having joined the team at FSOR 7 back in 2005. Primarily a guitarist (over 20 years), Jason also plays bass, drums, keys and a mean tambourine. He has done session work as a bassist and has written and recorded original music on Cubase and Logic. He has played in London bands, hosted Jam Nights, and teaches privately.
In addition to his FSOR duties, he’s both a music tech and guitar tutor in Tower Hamlets with over 17 years experience in secondary schools.

Jack Lineham studied drumming at the prestigious Trinity College of Music in London before
being offered a contract as resident jazz drummer onboard the infamous Queen Mary 2. Now he
enjoys playing at many renowned venues from Ronnie Scotts to Glastonbury festival. He also
teaches and runs a home studio for his production and composition work

My first FSOR was as an assistant back in 2014. The fun atmosphere, the friendly staff but most of all the buzz of creating something awesome to perform to our friends and family.
Joe plays piano, percussion and even violin but guitar is the clear favourite along with singing. Joe has performed hundreds of live gigs including festivals and some notorious London venues. Joe teaches guitar, bass and ukulele. Joe currently plays in a 2000’s indie covers band. Ever passionate about new music, Joe is also a DJ with a monthly radio show on Mi-Soul.

Rowan McKinnon

Rowan has enjoyed teaching and playing music professionally for just over 10 years. After graduating from Goldsmiths University studying music, he now does a combination of session work, 1 to 1 and group teaching, arranging, and gigging, helping run 2 live band karaokes a month in South London, as well as playing with groups at Reading and Leeds Festival, London Pride, the Royal Albert Hall, and more.
Having been on the FSOR team for the last five years, he’s looking forward to the next five, and beyond.
Monica Lidke

Kai Jenkins

Kai Jenkins went to Manchester uni to study music.
She plays and teaches the violin, piano and voice.
After graduation, she took a year out after to stay in Manchester to teach.
She is now back in London, teaching music, composing and recording.
She has composed music for short films, video games and the theme music for the Sky Kids
programme, StreetCat Bob
